Warranty & Exchange

Under Singapore’s new ‘Lemon Law’ charter, any purchase should be given a warranty exchange period of 6 months from date of receipt, however, if the customer decided he/she does not want the product for any reason, the charter does not recognise such warranty exchange validity.

Decibel SG Pte Ltd will only respect the charter if the product is defective and will do a CASH refund only if the item is paid in CASH.

Any other modes of payment will not be eligible for CASH refund due to the various fees levied by the debit/credit facilities.

Decibel SG Pte Ltd will not undertake such a responsibility that will damage the financial integrity of the company.

If the product is defective, please bring along the original shop receipt, together with the product and original packaging, and any free gift(s) indicated on the receipt in sellable/serviceable condition with original packaging.

In other words: No original receipt, no warranty.

The entity known as “Decibel SG Pte Ltd” does not acknowledge any 7-days one-to-one exchange policy.

Any assumption or presumption by the customer is thus rendered inadmissible, as it is the duty of the customer to return to the Authorised Distributor unless stated otherwise. Decibel SG Pte Ltd hereby state that we are an authorised reseller for the respective brands and thus not an authorised service centre and any defective products, the customer must return to the respective Service Centre, and that we will not be held liable for any expenses incurred as the location of the Distributor is not within our jurisdiction nor are the operation hours and disputes (if any).

If the customer wishes to change to a different model/colour of the product in question on the proviso that the exchanged product is in a sellable/serviceable condition and the original packaging is not damaged in any manner. If the item is damaged or used, Decibel SG Pte Ltd will not entertain any request for refunds. In such a scenario, the customer will be referred to the distributor.

The customer is allowed to only exchange for any item equal or greater than the value indicated on the receipt. Any lesser value, Decibel SG Pte Ltd will not provide a refund for the difference.

To prevent free-loading or fraudulent claims, any request for refunds for said purchase, the customer will have to return all the free gifts given during the purchase in a sellable/serviceable condition and to ensure that the original packaging is not damaged in any manner. If any free gift item(s) are not promptly returned, Decibel SG Pte Ltd will declare this exchange void and thus not eligible for refunds even if the product is defective. In such a scenario, the customer will be referred to the distributor.

To prevent fraud or collusion by staff, customers are required to provide passport/IC number along with contactable mobile phone number details, in writing on the payment invoice verified and validated by the director of Decibel SG Pte Ltd. If the customer declined to provide the above, Decibel SG Pte Ltd will declare this refund void as it is the duty of any locally-incorporated company to declare its dealings in the event IRAS seek to inquire on such matters.

If the customer insisted on lodging a complaint with CASE or the security counter, please do so and remember to quote our unit number. All such cases will be handled by the director of Decibel SG Pte Ltd.
